JOHANNESBURG – Enlightened Christian Gathering Church leader Shepherd Bushiri is expected to appear in court on Monday.

The self-professed prophet and his wife were arrested on Friday on fraud and money laundering charges.

The Hawks say they’ll be looking to make more arrests.

Last year, reports emerged that the church leader had been sending about R15-million per month to his home country, Malawi.

The money was being transported in his private jet.

On Sunday, the church was opened for the first time since the crossover service last year that ended in the tragic death of three people.
